Several of the most famous rock stars on the planet were in Anaheim, California over the last week for the 2009 Namm show, one of the world's biggest musical instrument exhibitions.
Electric guitar players Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen were in attendance, as was Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx.
Yamaha artist Alicia Keys and the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson also turned up for the event.
Dennis Houlihan of instrument and equipment maker Roland suggested the Namm show was a big a hit and claimed to be happy with the number of people visiting his company's stall "within minutes" of the expo opening.
"Everybody is anxious about 2009 and yet there's an underlying confidence in the value of music and the need for music products," he remarked.
A total of 85,799 people visited the Namm show, which had 1,505 exhibitors.
Fender, Gibson, Korg, Pearl and Peavey were among the major musical instrument manufacturers to make appearances.
