Bass guitar player Tony Levin, best known for his work with Peter Gabriel and King Crimson, has used a Micro-VRAmpeg Bass Amp Head in a recent performance with his group the Stick Men.
According to Ampeg's RoundSound news page, Levin specially requested the Ampeg Micro VR Bass Amp Head before a show at the 2010 Winter NAMM conference.
"We knew that the Micro was awesome, so we hooked Tony and his Chapman Stick partner-in-crime, Michael Bernier, up with a full Micro rig and the rest is bass history," said RoundSound.
The praised the pair's performance noting the adaptability of both musicians and ability to play everything from "growling bass to shredding highs" on their Chapman Sticks.
Bass guitar player Levin has played and toured with a huge range of artists in the past as a session guitarist including John Lennon, Lou Reed, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper and Carly Simon.
