Tom Araya wants immortal music
Tom Araya wants Slayer's music to become immortal.
The group's bassist and vocalist believes it's important to produce albums that will live forever and be passed on from generation to generation.
He said: "I think if the band is good and the music is good, all music is immortal. There's always going to be someone listening to it, and then there's going to be that one person that discovers it. They never discover the sh**ty bands, they discover the good bands. That's how it was with me - I was introduced to Zeppelin and Sabbath and that was at an early age, in the early 70s. It was good music, good songs."
Tom's career has spanned over 30 years but he doesn't think about performing too much otherwise he could lose what makes him good.
The rocker told AOL Music: "I just go out there and play it. I don't really think about it, I just do it. When you start to think about what you're doing, you have a tendency to stray from the path. I just can't head-bang anymore, so now I have to do it without head-banging."Posted on 27 Jul 2011 06:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News
