Tinie Tempah's epic track
Posted on 27 Sep 2010 07:00 to category : Music News

Tinie Tempah wanted 'Written In The Stars' to be an "epic stadium track".
The UK rapper said he wanted a huge sound for his third single, to reflect his personal triumph after the huge success of his first two songs 'Pass Out' and 'Frisky', which both got to number one in the UK singles chart.
Tinie, 21, exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "With 'Written In The Stars' I wanted to make an epic stadium type track, one that was very heavily guitar led and would fill out a stadium if you will.
"It is a very special and personal track for me as it's affirmation and acknowledging the fact that hard work has paid off, and if you work hard all of your dreams can be fulfilled.
"It was kind of important for me to release it before the album, to emphasize the fact that there are many different layers to my album, and people shouldn't expect every track to sound like 'Pass Out' or even 'Written In The Stars'."
Tinie also told how he constructed his debut album, 'Disc-Overy', specifically to reflect his eclectic tastes, but also as a way of kick starting the new decade with a new style and attitude.
He said: "2010 was the beginning of a new decade and I wanted to approach it with a fresh take, think that in 10 years time people will look back over what was influential at the beginning of the decade and I bared that in mind when creating the album. I don't see myself as a spokesperson for our generation or anything, but break it down."
'Written In The Stars' is released today (27.09.10) and 'Disc-Overy' is released on October 4.
