Great deals on musical instruments

Tinie Tempah is giving his trademark Ray Ban sunglasses away to a fan.

The rapper is set to give away his trademark eyewear - which he counts as lucky because he wore them for the video of his debut UK single 'Pass Out' - as part of a 'Something for the Fans' Priceless Music Collectables competition won by show sponsors MasterCard in association with this year's BRIT Awards.

He said: "Fans always associate me with the Ray Bans I wore in my first chart Number One video for 'Pass Out'. I had an immense year in 2010 and I hope one of my biggest fans will have similar success - and look as sharp - wearing them in 2011."

Other stars are also donating some of their most prized possessions to the competition, and one fan of each artist or group will win the item in question, as well as a pair of tickets to the BRIT awards on February 15, and a chance to star in an advert shown during the awards.

Rock band Kasabian are donating a pair of lead singer Tom Meighan's shoes, which have been signed by the whole band, while 'Pack Up' hitmaker Eliza Doolittle is prepared to give away her favourite sneakers.

She said: "These are genuinely my favourite pair of Nike Trainers, that's why I chose to wear them on the cover of my first album. But I'm sure they will find an equally loving home with one of my biggest fans."

The Ting Tings are also in the competition, donating two of their prized drums, which they have used onstage across the entire world.

To have a chance of winning your favourite star's treasured item, simply write why you feel you deserve it, and upload it at the website www.somethingforthefans.co.uk
