Tinchy Stryder's 'deep' new album
Posted on 26 Jul 2010 16:30 to category : Music News

Tinchy Stryder's new album is "deeper" than his past offerings.
The British rapper - whose second album 'Catch 22' featured collaborations with N-Dubz, Taio Cruz and Sugababes' Amelle Berrabah - revealed while fans may be shocked by some of the tracks on 'Third Strike', the record is so deep it gives him "goosebumps".
He said: "The sound, maybe the lyrics too in a way. It's less fierce, less hands in the air, man. I never say this about my own music but when I'm listening back, I'm getting goosebumps. It's got something about it. It's real deep.
"People was a bit shocked at 'Gangsta?'. A lot of Tinchy fans were saying, 'Is this the guy who was singing 'Never Leave You'?' But it's 'Gangsta?' with a question mark." The title is ironic and, once you've attuned yourself to the speed of the lyrics, so are the words."
The 'Take Me Back' hitmaker - who recently signed a deal with Jay Z's Roc Nation management company - admitted he hopes the contract will bring him success in the US.
He continued to Scotland's The Herald newspaper: "The accent might catch on. It could work in our favour. America's a massive market to crack. It's even hard for American artists. But at the same time, one song can do it.
"It's always the smallest thing that makes the difference, then it's up to you to follow it up. Timing is everything."
