Tim Wheeler parts with Gibson Flying V
Posted on 1 Dec 2009 12:31 to category : Instruments News

Ash frontman Tim Wheeler has given away one of his iconic Gibson Flying Velectric guitars.
The Northern Irish rocker was performing in Belfast last week when he decided to contribute to a music centre exhibition in the city.
Oh Yeah is home to a wide array of music memorabilia and Wheeler decided to add his Gibson Flying V to the collection, reports the Belfast Telegraph.
The electric guitar will be displayed alongside exhibits relating to other Ulster-born music luminaries including Snow Patrol and The Undertones.
Ash's visit to the province came in the wake of their A to Z tour, which saw the band perform a UK tour in alphabetical order of place names.
However, Wheeler recently admitted that the band cheated when they tried to find a place beginning with the letter X, as they played a gig in Exmouth.
"There was nowhere we could find beginning with X," he told BBC 6 Music.
