The xx not ready for second album

The xx have "no plans" to record a second album.
The British trio - who won the coveted Barclaycard Mercury Prize for their self-titled debut album last week (07.09.10) - have revealed while they intend to "start being creative again", they won't necessarily release the results.
Singer Oliver Sim explained: "I do enjoy songwriting and I think we're gonna do a second album.
"I suppose what I mean is, we're gonna write and record just for the love of it. Even of we don't do anything with it.
"There is no plan to even put out a second album. There's just a plan to start being creative again, with no big intentions."
The 'Islands' hitmakers admitted they achieved "way more" than they ever imagined with their debut, and are in no hurry to rush into recording anything else.
Bandmate Romy Madley Croft added to NME magazine: "What we've achieved with this album is way more than we could have dreamed of, so we've kind of done everything that we possibly hoped for with it. We're content with that. And we're in no massive rush to feel like we have to put out another album."
