The self tuning electric guitar
Posted on 9 Feb 2012 16:49 to category : Instruments News

The music company has developed the Peavey AT-200 along with Antares Audio Technologies.
This built in device tunes the musical instrument while the musician strums away, heralding a new age in guitar playing.
All it takes is for the guitarist to press a simple button and just like that, the instrument realigns its systems to create a perfect pitch.
"Peavey has always been a different kind of company, one that is driven by the desire to innovate and advance the possibilities in music and audio, while serving players and professionals with attainable, quality products," the company said.
"Partnering with Antares to bring their revolutionary Auto-Tune technology to guitars is the gateway to the next generation of music creation. As always, we're proud to be leading the way."
Peavey genuinely believes that this could be the way forward for guitarists, which almost guarantees perfection in sound quality. Out of tune music could become a thing of the past.
Dr Andy Hildebrand, founder of Antares Audio Technologies, shares in this opinion.
"We knew that our auto-tune had the power to change the sound of guitars, creating sonority and clarity."
