The View curb their drinking
Posted on 19 Feb 2010 17:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

The View frontman Kyle Falconer curbed his drinking after his mother suddenly died.
The singer lost his beloved mum last November and it inspired him to clean up his life, and focus more on his career.
He said: "It was hard at the time but you've just got to get over it. My mum wouldn't have liked it if I'd just stopped performing.
"It's not like I'm sober but I don't get as bad as when we first came out. I got a bit overexcited. I still like to party.
"We're trying to do sober rehearsals now."
Kyle - who lost his father when he was young - also confessed his heavy drinking was affecting the band's performances.
He added: "There have been a lot of pretty bad performances, getting too drunk and not remembering stuff, so we're just trying to keep on top of it."
The 'Same Jeans' singer - who performed with the group just two days after his mother's death, dedicating the set in honour of his late parent - also plans to pay tribute to his mum on the band's third album.
He said: "There's a few songs I've written about it. I can't tell you what yet, because we've got a few songs but we haven't really agreed on what we're doing with it."
