The Subways get set for UK tour
Electric guitar band The Subways are to embark on a UK tour in June.
The group have announced a new set of live shows for 2011, including a one-off gig at the Buffalo Bar in London on April 4th.
This will be the precursor to a run of concerts around the country, starting off in Gloucester on June 3rd.
Further shows will be played by The Subways in Cardiff, Derby and Darlington, while their tour bus will also be stopping in Leeds, Yeovil, Canterbury and Norwich.
The run of British gigs will be wrapped up on June 15th in Portsmouth.
Charlotte Cooper, the bass guitar player and co-vocalist in the band, told fans of the group's Facebook page she is looking forward the upcoming performances.
"I'm very excited this afternoon! We've announced some shows for the summer and I cannot wait!," she said. "I've missed being onstage with you guys."
The Subways will follow up on the UK shows by heading straight to Germany for a series of shows in the European country.
They will play at a number of festivals there, as well as appearing at the Acoustic Lakeside Festival in Austria.
