The Rolling Stones get to number one
Electric guitar legends The Rolling Stones have recorded their first number one in the British album charts since 1994 with the reissued version of Exile on Main Street.
The band beat the likes of Lady Gaga and Plan B to take the top spot with the classic record, which was first released back in 1972, when it also made it to the number one position in the album charts.
Exile on Main Street held off strong competition from Faithless' new album The Dance, which entered the charts at number two, while LCD Soundsystem's third album This is Happening made it to number seven in its first week of release.Posted on 24 May 2010 11:11 to category : Band / Celebrity News
