The Rolling Stones 'fans of Gibson guitars'
The Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor was a fan of the Gibson Les Paul when he was in the band.
On top of this, Keith Richards also starting to experiment with the ES-335 around this time, a piece of equipment that he is still a fan of to this day.
The posting went on to note that from 1969 until 1980, the act released some brilliant albums, which reflected "the dust of the Delta and the sizzle of soul and red clay R&B".
During this time, most of the music being played was done so on Gibson guitars, pointing to the quality of the manufacturer.
Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main St, Goat's Head Soup and It's Only Rock 'n Roll are just some of the records that herald from this era.
The enduring popularity of the Rolling Stones can be seen with the success of the A Bigger Bang Tour, which is the second highest grossing tour of all time.
