Posted on 12th Mar 2010 07:00 to category Music News
The Prodigy will collaborate with Dizzee Rascal on their next album.
The electronic dance band have revealed they have been in talks with the rapper for a long time and he is a big fan of their work and they will work together when they next go into the studio.
Producer Liam Howlett said: "Yeah, when it happens it will happen. Basically, we've talked about it and we've just been on the road for so long now. So when we have a break and I get to go back into the studio - that's when I guess the next lot of music will happen.
"But definitely we've had a number of conversations about it, watch this space and we'll see what happens."
Liam - who is also joined in Prodigy by vocalists Keith Flint and Maxim Reality - also discussed the band's 1991 single 'Charly', which samples public information film 'Charley Says', saying he's always on the lookout for new sounds to sample .
He added to Australian radio station Triple J: "I listen out to films and stuff like that. Inspiration can come from anywhere, so I keep your ears open you know, but I tend to steer away from the less obvious ones these days, it's a bit expensive to get the rights."
The Prodigy were also announced as headliners of the Bestival festival on the Isle Of Wight, yesterday (11.03.10). The band will close the festival on Sunday September 12.
