The Pigeon Detectives set for new album release and tour
The Pigeon Detectives are to bring out a new album in early April, with the electric guitar band also set to head out on an extensive UK tour in the spring.
Their third record is to be called Up, Guards and At Them! and is to be released on April 4th.
Its arrival will be preceded by lead single Done in Secret, which will be made available to their fans on March 28th, reports NME.
The Pigeon Detectives have been working on the new album in the studio with producer Justin Gerrish, whose CV includes collaborations with the likes of Weezer, Vampire Weekend and Glasvegas in the past.
They are set to begin a series of live dates in Middlesbrough on March 28th, moving on to perform gigs in cities such as Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham.
A homecoming show at Leeds Metropolitan University will bring the 14-date tour to a close on April 12th.
In December, the electric guitar band played a special gig at the Leeds Cockpit in order to raise money for SMILE - The Chloe Tate Foundation, as the founders of the charity are good friends of the group.
