The Libertines 'considering Glastonbury appearance'
The Libertines may be appearing at Glastonbury Festival in the summer, it has been rumoured.
An inside source close to the band told the Sun they are likely to reunite once again to play at the bash, as it is likely to be a "good earner" for them.
The band's co-frontman and electric guitar player Carl Barat confirmed to NME that he has been contacted about the possibility, but the group have not yet made an official decision on whether to perform at Glastonbury.
He added that he is hopeful of playing a few more shows in the summer with the rest of The Libertines.
"It'd be nice to do a few, if we get the old machine up again," Barat stated. "There's all sorts of things to think about, with all that's going on."
Last year, the band made their comeback as one of the headliners at Reading and Leeds festivals, receiving a payday rumoured to be in the region of £1 million for doing so.
Barat has recently rescheduled a solo UK tour initially planned for this month, cancelling some gigs and moving others to March and April.
