The Killers' drummer to record solo album in Britain
Ronnie Vannucci, the man behind the drum kit in The Killers, is to work on a solo album in the UK.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, the star revealed he has chosen to record the new work in this country because he feels a connection to Britain and its music scene thanks to his time in The Killers.
"From the very first moment we were here, it kind of solidified a bond that is undeniable," he said.
"The people I trust most with music, some of those people are here."
Vannucci added that The Killers want to take their time over their next record as a band.
The drummer explained that they have no firm plans for working together in the studio again, but will discuss the prospect later in the year when they meet up to play live.
Brandon Flowers, the frontman in The Killers, is currently working on his own solo project and is set for a number of live shows in Mexico and the US during April.
Flowers has also been booked to appear at the Hop Farm Festival and T in the Park at the start of July.
