The Hoosiers binned album
Posted on 20 May 2010 10:00 to category : Music News

The Hoosiers "binned" their first attempt at a second album.
Frontman Irwin Sparkes admitted the group originally made the follow-up LP very quickly but decided to start all over again because it was too much like their first effort, 'The Trick to Life'.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "We binned an entire album's worth of songs. It's been a real slog getting to this point but we are really happy with the sound. There's no point in making a second album that sounds exactly the same - we wanted to push ourselves."
Drummer Alfonso Sharland has previously spoken about how the group could only became a success when they accepted not everyone would like their music.
He said: "Learning how to fail is massive for us because Irwin and I are two middle-class kids and everything comes to you. You get school, A-levels and bundle your way through. Then we went away on our own on this big adventure and learnt so much."
The Hoosiers will release their second album, 'The Illusion Of Safety', in the summer.
