The Futureheads go a cappella
All 11 tracks on the record will feature none of their usual instruments, like guitars, keyboards and drums because it will be entirely a cappella.
Writing on their website, the band explained that using just their voices meant they could explore new ideas that aren't possible when they have instruments in their hands.
"What excites us about this record is that it's totally different to anything we've ever released in the past," the band stated.
"We've rearranged some Futureheads songs from our back catalogue, and we've worked on interpretations of some folk classics as well. There are a handful of covers that may surprise you, too."
It hasn't been an easy process. In a revealing interview with NME, they described producing the songs as being a nightmare at times.
"For every single track on the album, we went into the studio full of energy, we'd get started and incredibly quickly your brain just gets frazzled," explained Barry Hyde, the band's frontman.
