The Enemy 'feeling excited about new album'
Tom Clarke, the lead singer and electric guitar player in The Enemy, has said the band are feeling excited about how their latest album is shaping up.
Speaking to NME, the star revealed the group are currently at the writing and rehearsal stage of the recording process, but added that the signs are already looking good.
"We have loads of tunes we're all excited about," Clarke stated.
"Some of it is the most mature stuff we've ever written and some of it is good old Enemy two-chord screamers."
The electric guitar player added that the band are itching to be back as part of the live music scene.
He explained they feel there is a lack of good music on the radio at the moment, which Clarke claimed is a similar situation to when The Enemy brought out their debut album.
The group's new album is pencilled in for a release date in the latter part of this year.
Their last record Music For The People won praise from a number of notable music publications, including Mojo, Clash magazine and Observer Music Monthly, which commended the "big themes" tackled on the LP.
