The Drums not changing

The Drums will break up before they change their sound.
The US indie group have just finished their last shows of a festival tour and will head back to the US before embarking on a headlining tour of Europe later this year. The group have, however, started thinking about the follow up to their recently released, self titled, debut album - and are firm as to how it will sound.
Speaking at the Reading festival, drummer Connor Hanwick told Gigwise.com: "We're not looking to stray in any direction.
"I don't think we feel like we've full grasped what we want to do so we're not really shy or scared or ashamed to go as far as we can in that one direction.
"The Drums are so specific that once we've hit the end of that road we'll break up before we turn into a different band."
Singer Jonathan Pierce - who alongside Connor and guitarists Jacob Graham and Adam Kessler complete the group - said he's already got some ideas for new songs ready.
He added: "Kind of as soon as the first record was out we started brainstorming for the second one, and throwing ideas around."
The band are also set to release a single, 'Down By The Water', before Christmas.
