The Drums forget ex-guitarist
The Drums singer Jonathan Pierce has described ex-guitarist Adam Kessler as "forgettable".
The 'Let's Go Surfing' star has urged fans of the band to move on from Adam's departure last month - when he called the group the night before their US tour to say he was quitting - because he wasn't an important component of their music.
He said: "Forget Adam because he's forgettable. He never brought anything good to this band."
In the wake of Adam's departure, he has been replaced on tour by Tom Haswell, who has impressed his new part-time bandmates.
Drummer Connor Hanwick said: "Tom is a better musician than all of us combined!"
Despite this, the trio - also consisting of guitarist Jacob Graham - don't plan to allow Tom to join them full-time.
Connor explained: "I can't picture us bringing anyone else in. It's the same reason why we can't bring in a producer, or a video director, or a graphic designer. The three of us are so in tune with each other, it makes the idea of bringing in another person pretty much impossible."Posted on 22 Oct 2010 16:30 to category : Music News
