The Devil Wears Prada tours with Peavey amps
It follows on from the release of Dead Throne, the band's fourth studio album, which saw them work with an outside producer from the first time in their six-year history.
Adam Dutkiewicz of Killswitch Engage has helped the band tighten their arrangements by getting rid of a lot of superfluous songs.
Chris Rubey, guitar player and songwriter, said: "It's pretty much a known fact that the Peavey 6505 is the fearing metal tone. The low end is so unbelievably tight, and it has insane amounts of gain. On this tour I’ve been playing the 6534 Plus. I had one shipped to me when we were in the studio, and I liked the warmth and the crunchiness.
"My whole philosophy is, 'If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.' I can get everything I need out of these amps."
The band's name is not in homage to the successful chick-flick of the same title.
"It's the same concept as our lyrics 'emeralds hold no hope' and many others. What we believe it to mean is that possessions don't matter at all and someday everyone will realize that this is true," said Mike Hranica from the band in 2007. "When standing before God, he won't care about your sweet Prada scarf or Gucci shoes or whatever."
