Posted on 26 Apr 2010 13:52 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar band The Dead Weather are to play a set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury this year.
The indie group, which are one of Jack White's several bands, will appear on the Saturday of the event, June 26th 2010.
Organiser Emily Eavis said: "We're always honoured to have Jack White at the festival and he's given us some amazing sets over the years with The White Stripes and The Raconteurs."
She added that The Dead Weather "blew everyone away" when they performed a surprise set at Glastonbury last year and said she couldn't wait to see them play the festival again.
They are to appear fourth on the bill and will be followed by Shakira, Scissor Sisters and Muse.
Other acts scheduled to take to the Pyramid Stage at this year's event include piano player Stevie Wonder, Irish stars U2, rapper Dizzee Rascal and electric guitar legend Slash.
