The Cure and Primal Scream booked for Bestival 2011
The Cure and Primal Scream have been announced as the two headline acts for this year's Bestival.
It will be the former band's only European festival show of 2011 and festival organiser Rob da Bank said he was delighted to secure their booking.
"I'm overjoyed that they are coming as Saturday night headliners," he stated.
"Few bands have had such a massive impact on my life (and hairstyles) so I'll see you down the front."
Meanwhile, Primal Scream will play a special set that will see them perform their landmark album Screamadelica in its entirety.
Other acts to be announced for the event include former Beach Boys star Brian Wilson, DJ Shadow, Crystal Castles and the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain.
Indie band The Maccabees have also confirmed they will be playing at the bash via Twitter, providing fans with a link to the new line-up poster.
Further sets will be given at the festival, which is to run between September 8th and 11th, by the likes of Public Enemy, Noah and the Whale, PJ Harvey and Paloma Faith.
DJ Yoda, Annie Mac and Groove Armada will also be in attendance.
