The Arctic Monkeys storm to the top of the album charts
The Arctic Monkeys new studio album Suck It and See has knocked Lady Gaga off the top of the album charts.
All four of their albums have now gone straight in at number one, making them the second-ever band after indie-crooners Keane, to achieve the amazing feat.
According to the official charts company, both Boyzone and George Michael have had four successive albums debut at the prestigious number one spot as well, but this has included greatest hits albums and not just stand-alone original albums.
It cements their place as one of the best UK rock bands to have emerged in recent times, with notable and obvious comparisons to Oasis.
When recently asked about the comparisons to the Manchester band, frontman Alex Turner said that he didn't mind.
Their three previous albums were called Humbug, Favourite Worst Nightmare and Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.
Alexis Petridis, music critic at the Guardian gave the album four stars out of five, explaining that they were becoming an "increasingly well-rounded" rock band.
