Tascam DP-008 Praised

Tascam DP-008 Digital Portastudio has been reviewed and praised in this months issue of play music magazine.
Tascam portable multi-track recorders are an industry standard, found in project studios and tour buses the world over and Tascam have remained at the cutting edge of mobile recording since it launched the original analogue Portastudio 144 over 30 years ago.
"The DP-008 definitely feels really user-friendly, the controls are simple and accessing the menus is very straight forward, even for a relative newbie."
The DP-008 is fractionally larger than its small predecessor the DP-004 but the DP-008 is still a very protable unit.
Its physical dimensions are roughly about the same size as a large paperbook and so the DP-008 slips easily into the carrying pocket of a guitar case or rucksack and it only weighs in less than 700 grams with batteries, it doesn't feel clumsy or difficult to transport.
Overall "The DP-008 is a very capable and useful addition to any musicians recording arsenal".
