Take That help Turin Brakes fund new album
Posted on 22 Feb 2010 14:35 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Acoustic guitar duo Turin Brakes have revealed an unlikely source of help with funding for their new record pop stars Take That.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Olly Knights of Turin Brakes revealed that it looked unlikely that the pair would have been able to afford to make a new album after leaving record label EMI.
But Howard Donald, fan of the band and Take That member, asked Knights and acoustic guitar partner Gale Paridjanian, to write a song for his group.
The resulting track, Here, ended up as the closing song on The Circle giving the boys access to royalties that helped fund the recording of their next record.
Knights said: "We were so amazed that they even knew who we were - we thought, well we've got to do this because if we don't it's such an opportunity wasted."
Turin Brakes are currently preparing for a UK tour in March that will see the band take their acoustic guitars to venues in cities including Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham and London.
