System of A Down confirmed for Download 2011
System of A Down are going to be dusting off their electric guitars next year after announcing a European tour which includes an appearance at Download Festival.
The rockers have revealed they will be playing a host of gigs during June 2011, with their first confirmed show due to take place in Milan. System of A Down are to follow that gig with performances in Germany, France and Switzerland prior to making their way to Download on June 11th.
Further performances are planned for the electric guitar band during the rest of the month in Austria, Sweden and Finland, as well as a return visit to Germany. The group said they had decided to reunite as they missed playing together in front of their fans.
Download organisers have also confirmed Avenged Sevenfold will be playing at next year's bash, following two previous appearances at the festival by the Californian stars back in 2006 and 2008.
