Susan Boyle to cover AC/DC?
Susan Boyle wants to cover an AC/DC song.
The 'Perfect Day' singer - best known for her ballad versions of pop songs - said she'd consider singing a track by the Australian hard rock legends, whose typical lyrical themes include loose women, drinking and hell.
When asked by a TV presenter: "What about AC/DC, Australia's biggest rock band? Could you ever do a cover of their songs?"
Susan, 49, replied: "You want? You got, let's move. No problem, come on lads, I'm ready when you are."
She also jokingly added: "I'm headbanging as well."
If she did take on one of the 'Ballbreaker' group's songs, it wouldn't be the first time Susan had tackled a rock classic, as her debut album, 'I Dreamed A Dream' - which has sold over seven million copies worldwide - saw her sing a version of 'Wild Horses' by The Rolling Stones.
Despite her phenomenal success, however, Susan isn't interested in record sales, and said she makes music solely for the enjoyment of herself and her fans.
She said: "For me, it's not about album sales or chart positions. It is that the people buying my music are enjoying it. I don't want it to end and I want them to keep enjoying my music."
AC/DC are Australia's most successful ever rock act, with over 200 million album sales worldwide.
Their album 'Back In Black' is the second biggest selling of all time and they are also famed for their guitarist, Angus Young, dressing as a schoolboy when they perform live.Posted on 17 Dec 2010 09:45 to category : Band / Celebrity News
