Supergrass drummer joins Babyshambles
Danny Goffey, the man behind the drum kit in Supergrass, is joining Babyshambles on a temporary basis.
He is replacing Adam Ficek, who has now left the group he first joined in 2005.
A spokesman for the group, which is fronted by Libertines star Pete Doherty, told NME that Goffey will be the band's drummer for all of their "currently booked commitments".
No reason was given for Ficek's departure from the group.
The band, whose long-term future has been thrown into doubt recently by the reformation of The Libertines, are due to play at the NME Weekender at Pontins Camber Sands Holiday Centre in November.
Goffey will be behind the drum kit in Supergrass for the final time this month, as the band embark on a farewell tour culminating in Paris on June 11th 2010.
The indie band announced they were to split up in April and are to play shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London this week.Posted on 7 Jun 2010 18:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
