Supergrass announce split
Posted on 12 Apr 2010 15:58 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar group Supergrass have announced the band is to break up following a final set of shows this summer.
The indie rockers released a joint statement explaining why they have decided to call it a day following six studio albums.
"We still love each other but, cliche notwithstanding, musical differences have led to us moving on and of course we all wish each other well in the future," the band said.
Supergrass will play together on four more occasions, with their first farewell show taking place at Glasgow Barrowlands on June 8th 2010.
They will then play Manchester Academy on June 9th and the O2 Academy in Brixton the day after that.
Their final show will be in Paris on June 11th.
Earlier this year, the band said they were working on a new record but it is unclear as to whether this will be released.
In January, lead singer Gaz Coombes told NME that drummer Danny Goffey switched to playing bass guitar for one track after swapping roles with Mick Quinn.
