Super Bowl half-time honour for The Who
Veteran rock band The Who have been selected to play at the Super Bowl half-time show.
The band will be seen by a televised audience of more than 150 million viewers in the US, with their performance at the sporting showpiece on February 7th 2010 also set to be broadcast in more than 230 other countries.
Although only two members of The Who's classic line-up, electric guitar player Pete Townshend and vocalist Roger Daltrey, are still alive, they are still regarded as one of the world's best live acts.
Playing at the Super Bowl half-time show is regarded as a real honour in the US and The Who follow in the footsteps of U2, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen in playing at the event, which will take place in Miami.Posted on 27 Nov 2009 11:42 to category : Band / Celebrity News
