Sunderland midfielder pleads for return of prized guitars
Posted on 30 Sep 2010 14:46 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Sunderland midfielder Andy Reid has issued a public appeal asking for the return of two prized electric guitars.
The football player reported the 1981 Fender Stratocaster and 1975 Gibson Les Paul missing last week after they disappeared from a Durham recording studio, but police have been unable to track them down as yet.
Reid said he is "hugely disappointed" the electric guitars have been taken because the instruments mean a lot to him.
"It's not about the monetary value of them - they're just really important to me," he explained.
"The two guitars are very distinctive and fantastic to play, which makes them extremely difficult to replace."
He added that he would be very grateful for any help he can get in retrieving the Fender Stratocaster and Gibson Les Paul.
Before joining Sunderland, Reid played for Nottingham Forest, Tottenham and Charlton and has been capped 27 times by Ireland, scoring four goals for his country.
