Suge Knight gets 36 months probation for driving on a suspended licence
One of the most controversial figures in hip hop history has been sentenced to 36 months probation for driving on a suspended licence.
Suge Knight, the former boss of the once powerful music label Death Row Records, was pulled over by police officers in Beverly Hills who spotted the music heavyweight in his huge black car.
Clearly Mr Knight hadn't learnt his lesson as this was the second time he has been brought up on these charges, having been caught back in February committing the same crime.
Speaking to TMZ following the charge, Mr Knight stirred up bad blood by criticising P Diddy and mocking him over his use of multiple names.
"A lot of these dudes say they love [Tupac Shakur], but at the same time they be doing s**t like Bucky, I mean Puffy, whatever it is.
"Once now all of the truth comes out on all the people who did 'Pac wrong, we still gotta be back on that mission."
This all goes back to a rivalry from the 1990s, when the east-side and west-side were almost "at war" with one another, both musically and on the streets.
This was exemplified by the battle between Tupac Shakur and the Notorious BIG, former friends who came to represent different crews.
