Suede: We won't force new music
Britpop band Suede, who reformed last year, have said that they are taking their time when it comes to their next studio album.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, the band said that they would not be pressurised into making a new album to satisfy pressure from fans or any other reason.
The alternative rock band said that they wanted to let things come together naturally and not force the creative music making process.
Frontman Brett Anderson told BBC 6 Music that they were actively looking to write new material for Suede, adding that "if the magic is not there, no one will hear it, that's the truth".
He added: "I don't want us to put a record out just because people want us to, if it's not right then it's not right."
The band were speaking ahead of their headline set at Latitude (July 17th), which was their final scheduled UK performance of the year.
They will kick off a short tour of Asian later this month, which concludes at the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan.
In the meantime, Anderson will be releasing his solo album Black Rainbows in September.
