Stevie Wonder closes show with Eavis
Posted on 28 Jun 2010 10:00 to category : Music News

Stevie Wonder closed Glastonbury last night (27.06.10) by performing with organiser Michael Eavis.
The legendary musician headlined the final evening of the world famous festival with a performance of his biggest hits, including 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours', 'Superstition' and his version of The Beatles' 'We Can Work It Out'.
And before the close of the show Stevie welcomed Michael on to the stage and sang his track 'Happy Birthday' to him to mark the event's 40th anniversary with Michael joining in.
Stevie - who is blind - also gave an emotional speech before performing his hit 'Living for the City', telling the crowd: "I believe God is about the perpetuation of life, not the destroying of it. If I could see I could really kick some a*s. If you're gonna be a hater just go drink some haterade and just die."
Michael wasn't the only impromptu on stage guest during the festival's final night.
Dance act Orbital also had a special surprise for fans when 'Doctor Who' actor Matt Smith joined them on stage as they performed a dance remix of the sci-fi show's iconic theme song.
