Steve Lukather endorses Yamaha electro-acoustic guitars
Posted on 9 Sep 2010 14:59 to category : Music News

Yamaha's range of electro-acoustic guitars are to be endorsed by five-time Grammy winner Steve Lukather.
The former Toto guitarist, who has played with the likes of Paul McCartney, Van Halen and Eric Clapton over the course of his career, is to use LJX and NX series instruments in the studio and on stage as part of the agreement, reports MI-Pro.
"I tried them against all the others and there was no comparison," said the musician.
"Yamaha really brought the best to the design and sound and look."
The guitars he will use employ Sound Response Technology, which allows key acoustic elements which are normally absent from traditional pickup systems to be recorded.
These include string and body resonance, ambience and professional mic techniques.
Another musician to rely on Yamaha instruments is Michael Buble, whose backing band employ the company's drums, strings and synthesizers when they are on stage with the singer.
