The 2010 London Drum Show will be opened by legendary musician Steve Gadd, it has been confirmed.
Gadd has worked with an array of big names during his career, including Paul Simon, the Bee Gees, Eric Clapton and former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney.
According to MI Pro, he will open the London Drum Show, which takes place at the Olympia on September 4th-5th.
"It will be a great privilege for us to welcome him to the show," said Hugo Montgomery-Swan, managing director of organisers Oyster House Media.
He said the company is "thrilled" to attract a drummer of his stature to the event, which will represent "the hub of the UK industry" during these two days.
Other names who are confirmed to appear include Benny Greb, Mike Mangini and Pete Lockett, while manufacturers such as Yamaha and Roland will be exhibiting their products.
The London Drum Show was originally meant to be staged in October, but was brought forward to avoid a clash with the London Music Show.
