Status Quo 'snubbed' by Jools Holland
Posted on 9 Oct 2009 10:19 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar player Rick Parfitt has complained about Status Quo being overlooked on Later with Jools Holland.
The BBC music programme has been running since 1992 and has attracted many of the biggest names in popular music ever since, including Sir Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Kings of Leon and the Kaiser Chiefs.
However, Parfitt has revealed that "they won't have us", despite the fact that Quo would like to appear on the show, the Independent reports.
"Perhaps we're not cool enough," the Fender Telecaster player said.
Lead guitarist Francis Rossi added that the band, who have had more UK hit singles than any other band, would love to go on Holland's programme and "play loud".
"It's a bit of a drag because Quo are primarily a live band," he stated.
The comments come ahead of next week's release of a live DVD from Status Quo, which features performances of classics such as Down Down, Mean Girl, Pictures of Matchstick Men and Rockin' All Over the World.
