Special edition Shure Super 55 microphone launched
A special edition version of the Shure Super 55 microphone is being released by the company.
The piece of musical equipment uses modern technology while also paying tribute to the design of the original Shure Unidyne microphone, which first came out in 1939, reports MI-Pro.
It has a red and black colour scheme and will be available for a limited period.
Peter James, managing director for Shure Distribution UK, said: "[It] is perfect for performers and music enthusiasts who are looking for a more unique aesthetic and cutting-edge design, but still appreciate the timeless style and cultural significance represented by these historic microphones."
For those who do not get their hands on the limited edition model, the normal Shure Super 55 Deluxe microphone may be a good option.
This combines the vintage design of the 55SH mic with contemporary audio performance technology, such as optimised frequency response for natural vocals.
