Spandau Ballet's reunion tour gets underway
Posted on 14 Oct 2009 15:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar player Gary Kemp was famously sued by three of his Spandau Ballet bandmates for unpaid royalties, but wounds appear to have been healed as their reunion tour has now got underway.
The 80s popsters played their first comeback show at the O2 in Dublin in front of more than 9,000 fans.
According to the Daily Mail, there was no sign of the "well-documented differences" between Kemp and his fellow musicians throughout their set.
Indeed, the newspaper said the band managed to turn the clock back 20 years in front of a wildly cheering audience.
However, a moment of reflection came when vocalist Tony Hadley dedicated True to Boyzone singer Stephen Gately, who died at the weekend aged 33.
"He was a good drinking mate of mine," Hadley said.
The Independent gave the band a slightly more lukewarm response, saying Spandau Ballet's reformation is "not quite in the same league" as other recent reunions, such as Mott the Hoople.
