Soulja Boy's million dollar advice
Posted on 23 Apr 2010 16:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Soulja Boy is releasing a book explaining how he made a million dollars by the age of 16.
The US rapper - who rose to fame in 2007 with his single 'Crank That' - wrote the book, called 'Teenage Millionaire', about his reflections and tips on success at such a young age, to go with his forthcoming second album, 'Dre'.
Soulja - real name DeAndre Cortez Way - told Billboard.com: "I made my first million dollars when I was 16 years old. I came from a place where a lot of people don't make it out to see the type of things I've seen around the world and see the amount of money that I've obtained. I just wanna tell all the people how I did it.
"One of the chapters of my book is called 'Speaking It into Existence. It's something I've been doing my whole career. When you think or speak from the non-conscious it happens.
"When you weed out all the negative thoughts and focus on nothing but what you wanna have it's so easy to obtain it."
One of the most important factors to his success, according to Soulja - who is now 19 - is staying ahead of the curve with technology - telling how he has used video hosting website youtube and social networking tool twitter to his advantage.
He added: "I was one of the first artists to have a YouTube account, if not the first. I joined two months after the site launched."
Soulja also has over two million followers of his twitter posts, which he updates daily.
