Social Distortion star 'writes everything on Gibson acoustic guitar'

Social Distortion star Mike Ness has explained how he employs a vintage Gibson acoustic guitar when he is coming up with new songs.
Speaking to Premier Guitar with bandmate Jonny Wickersham, Ness explained his devotion to his 1939 J-35 acoustic guitar when it is time to write new material.
"I wrote everything on this guitar. It very rarely leaves the house," he revealed.
Ness uses a Les Paul Deluxe when he is playing the electric guitar on stage, while Wickersham has a pair of vintage Les Paul Juniors - from 1955 and 1957 - to choose between.
The American punk band are set to release new album Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes in November, with a tour of the US due to get underway next month.
They will be supported by Frank Turner on their run of gigs, which will include shows in Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC and New York.
