Snowy conditions forces number of gig cancellations
The snowy conditions currently afflicting the UK have forced a number of bands to call off planned gigs and leave their instruments at home for now.
Among the biggest-name casualties of the weather are Madness, who were due to play at Hull Arena tonight (December 3rd) and Gallows, who were booked to perform in Hastings, reports NME. Engineers, Toby Jepson and The Heartbreaks are among the other acts which have had to postpone shows that were originally meant to take place this evening.
One gig that is still set to go ahead tomorrow night despite the difficult weather conditions is Frank Turner's performance at Plug in Sheffield. The South Yorkshire city has been one of the places worst affected by heavy snowfall but venue bosses have told fans the show is still due to take place.
Acoustic guitar player Turner is to be supported by solo artist Ed Harcourt when he performs there.
