Smashing Pumpkins add Nicole Fiorentino on bass guitar
US alternative rockers The Smashing Pumpkins have added a new member on bass guitar.
Former Veruca Salt bassist Nicole Fiorentino has been announced as the latest addition to a line-up which has changed several times over the years.
She replaces Ginger Pooley, who left the band earlier this year to spend more time with her husband and baby.
Fiorentino has been recruited in time to join the band on a forthcoming world tour, which will include two summer festival appearances in Tokyo and Osaka.
The band has been at the forefront of promoting digital music and is currently in the process of releasing their 44-track Teargarden by Kaleidyscope album one track at a time via their website.
While several limited edition EPs have been released during this time, the online content has been made available for free download.
The latest EP release comes with a silk-screened wooden box and recordings on both CD and vinyl.Posted on 12 May 2010 10:36 to category : Band / Celebrity News
