Slash unveils new solo songs
Posted on 12 Nov 2009 18:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar player Slash has given fans in Japan a taste of what may be in store on his upcoming solo album.
The Velvet Revolver star has just released a single called Sahara, which features Koshi Inaba on vocals.
Meanwhile, Fergie and Cypress Hill make a guest appearance on the b-side, a cover of Paradise City by Guns N' Roses.
Slash confirmed on his Twitter feed that neither song will appear on his eponymous debut solo album, which is released in spring 2010.
However, the three guests on his new single will appear on the main record, alongside names such as Dave Grohl, Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne and Ronnie Wood.
Slash was full of praise for the contribution made by Fergie in particular, saying: "Not too many people have heard Fergie sing rock 'n' roll but she sings it better than most dudes I know.
"She's a screamer at heart," he added.
The Gibson Les Paul player has been signed up by Roadrunner Records, which recently described him as one of the most iconic and acclaimed guitarists of his generation.
