Slash to release solo album in spring 2010
Posted on 4 Nov 2009 17:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar player Slash is to release his debut solo album in spring next year.
The Gibson Les Paul player has been joined on the record by a number of big names, including Ozzy Osbourne, Fergie, Steven Adler and Flea.
Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters also puts in an appearance, playing the drum kit on a song that features Slash's Velvet Revolver bandmate Duff McKagan on bass guitar.
Velvet Revolver have been off the road since the departure of singer Scott Weiland last year, although the remaining members have insisted that the band will carry on with a new frontman.
Slash, who made his name playing electric guitar in Guns N' Roses, has been signed up by Roadrunner Records, which described his new album as an "essential release".
The label commented: "Slash is one of the most iconic musicians of all time.
"His songwriting, playing and performing has inspired and entertained millions worldwide."
