Slash reveals favourite electric guitar riffs
Posted on 10 May 2010 20:15 to category : Music News

Former Guns'N'Roses and Velvet Revolver star Slash has listed a song from Led Zeppelin as one of those containing a fantastic electric guitar riffs.
In an interview with the Times, Slash revealed he was brought up on British rock 'n' roll.
He cited Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love and The Kink's You Really Got Me as containing two of his favourite guitar riffs, along with Over Under Sideways Down by the Yardbirds and The Who's Sparks.
As a child Slash moved to the States and was introduced to The Doors by his mum.
Then at 14, he started to discover his own electric guitar bands which helped to shape his musical style.
"Aerosmith's Back in the Saddle from their Rocks album set me in the direction that I'm in," he said.
"I first heard it in about 1978 and it just changed my life."
In August 2009, Time Magazine ranked Slash at number two in their Ten Best Electric Guitar Players of All Time behind Jimi Hendrix and ahead of BB King, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton.
