Audiences across the world were given the chance to see the show for themselves at the weekend when a gig was broadcast live on video sharing site YouTube.
Fans in countries as diverse as China, New Zealand and Russia watched the band perform in front of 97,000 people at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California.
The setlist included hits such as I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Vertigo, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Beautiful Day and One.
U2 also performed several songs from their latest album, including the title track and Get On Your Boots.
